Arsam Mahmoudi has been sentenced to five years in prison.

Reports from Iran indicate that Arsam Mahmoudi, a political activist, has been convicted and sentenced to five years in prison.

Arsam Mahmoudi, born in 1370, is a civil engineering graduate who was arrested in Azar 1401 (November 2022) during nationwide protests in Tehran.

He has been sentenced to five years in prison for charges of assembly and collusion against the regime, and one year in prison for charges of anti-regime propaganda. According to Article 134, he must serve a total of five years.

Mr. Mahmoudi, described as a conditional activist, is awaiting a hearing for appeal.
