Earlier this week, the Minister of Education of Iran had stated that around 600,000 students in Iran are foreign nationals.

The majority of foreign nationals in Iran are immigrants from Afghanistan. The number of immigrants from this country to Iran has increased after the fall of the national government and the resurgence of the Taliban.
