The first court session of Mehdi Yarahi was held

The first court session for Mehdi Yarrahi was held.

Radio Farda reported that some sources in Iran have stated that the first court session for Mehdi Yarrahi, a protesting singer in detention, was held on Monday, 12th of Shahrivar, at the Tehran Moral Security Court.

Behnam Babazadeh, a music journalist, wrote on Tuesday on the social media platform Twitter that considering the location of Mr. Yarrahi’s trial, it seems that none of the security institutions are the complainants against this singer, and his case is directly pursued by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic.

This news has not been published in the media close to the Iranian government so far, and there is no accurate information about the attributed charges in Mr. Yarrahi’s case.

On the third day of Shahrivar, Mehdi Yarrahi released the song ‘Rosarito Dar Biyar’ and dedicated it to the free women of Iran, who according to his own words, shine bravely in the forefront of the women’s movement for freedom.

This songwriter and singer was arrested three days after the release of this song.
