Defense Ministry's $200 Million Misconduct

Defense Ministry’s $200 million embezzlement

Energy Press, representative of Tehran in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, stated that, after investigating the performance of petrochemical companies, it was found that one of the subsidiaries of the Defense Ministry had offered a discount to a buyer. Although I cannot disclose the exact amount, it may exceed $200 million. However, this figure needs further investigation and verification.

Mojtaba Rezakhah, in an interview with Energy Press regarding the investigation into the performance of petrochemical companies, stated that this issue has been on our agenda for a year and a half, and I myself was the designer of it.

Four ministries, including the Defense Ministry, subsidiaries of the Ministry of Oil, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Labor, are involved in this investigation.

Irregularities have been observed in the Defense Ministry’s subsidiaries. Although they tried to conceal these irregularities, they have been confirmed by some supervisory institutions. Unfortunately, one of the Defense Ministry’s subsidiaries has offered a discount to a buyer, which is a significant amount.
