Dollar will be eliminated in Iran's tourism exchanges with regional countries

The dollar is being eliminated in Iran’s tourism exchanges with regional countries.

The governor of the Central Bank of Iran has claimed that the supply of dinars to individuals who intended to travel for Arbaeen this year was successful. The Central Bank intends to implement this plan for other regional countries as well.

According to the ISNA news agency, the currency services for Arbaeen this year were carried out by the Iranian banking network with several fundamental differences compared to previous years. One of these differences is that instead of the dollar and euro, the currency of the destination country was used for the first time.

The announcement of this issue had caused concern among currency market activists in the early days. Some economic experts had also raised the question of where the Central Bank intends to source and supply the Arbaeen currency in the form of dinars.
