Kemal Kilicdaroglu files a complaint against Erdogan
Kemal Kilicdaroglu, a rival of Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the Turkish presidential elections, has filed a complaint against him for airing a promotional video linking the opposition candidate with Kurdish militants.
This complaint has been made on the eve of the second round of the Turkish elections, which is scheduled to take place on Monday, May 28th.
Kilicdaroglu’s lawyer said that this case was filed to demand accountability from Erdogan for a fabricated and edited video.
The video shows Kilicdaroglu in election campaigns standing alongside images of a Kurdish Workers’ Party (PKK) military commander.
Turkey considers the PKK a terrorist organization and does not allow it to operate in the country.
Erdogan has repeatedly aired this video during his election rallies.
