Increase in self-imposed taxi fares
While the approval of fare increases for transportation in the metro, bus, and taxi sectors has not yet been reached by the Tehran Governorate this year, some taxi drivers have taken it upon themselves to charge higher fares from passengers.
In some taxi lines, fares have increased by up to 50%, and there is no supervision by the relevant organization regarding the collection of taxi fares. It is expected that the Tehran City Taxi Organization will take serious action in this regard.
