Amir-Abdollahian introduced Saudi Arabia’s new ambassador in Tehran.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said that Saudi Arabia has introduced its new ambassador in Tehran.

He also said that Iran will soon introduce its new ambassador in Riyadh to the country.

Amir-Abdollahian added that efforts are underway to reopen the embassy and consulates of the Islamic Republic in Saudi Arabia.

In mid-March of this year, a diplomatic delegation from Saudi Arabia traveled to Iran to reopen the embassy and consular offices of the country.

Efforts to reopen the embassies of the two countries are being made following an agreement reached on March 10, 2023, between the two countries and with the mediation of China to resume relations.
