Iran denies Grossi’s statements about the agreement to install surveillance cameras and visit nuclear facilities
Just a few hours after Rafael Grossi announced the agreement with Iranian authorities to retrieve surveillance cameras in Iranian nuclear facilities, the spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organization stated that these statements are not true.
Shortly after Rafael Grossi, the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, announced the agreement with Iran for monitoring nuclear facilities, Noor News, a media close to the Supreme National Security Council, and the spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organization denied this matter.
Behrouz Kamalvandi, the spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, told the official news agency of the Islamic Republic that there has been no discussion or agreement regarding the installation of cameras in nuclear facilities. He also denied Grossi’s statements about the agreement to visit nuclear facilities, stating that during the two-day presence of the Director-General of the Atomic Energy Agency and his accompanying delegation, the issue of access to individuals was never raised, and no document was written about this matter.
