Belgium requests clarification from Tehran regarding espionage on its soil

The Belgian Foreign Minister, who was forced for the fourth time to explain to representatives of his country about issuing a visa to Alireza Zakani, announced that they have asked Iran to provide an explanation regarding the spying activities of Zakani’s entourage from the opposition of the Islamic Republic on Belgian soil.

Hajjeh Labib, on Thursday evening, the eighth of Tir, in the Belgian parliament, said that they have requested the internal security organization of this country to investigate the performance of the Iranian delegation accompanying Alireza Zakani, the mayor of Tehran, in Brussels.

He said that two individuals who showed a particular interest in the demonstrations of the opponents of the Islamic Republic in Brussels and were taking photos were tracked down by the police, and it was revealed that they were part of the Iranian delegation.
