A group of analysts at a defense research institute in Britain say that since the attack on Ukraine, Russian security services have achieved much greater success compared to the country’s military.
FSB, or the Russian counterintelligence service, has been able to quickly gain control over the occupied areas due to precise planning.
Researchers say that groups of FSB officers identify individuals with government backgrounds by obtaining their records. They also arrest and interrogate many through house-to-house searches. At the same time, according to British experts’ estimates, Russian electronic warfare units almost completely cut off access to television, radio, and the internet in order to establish dominance.
