Russia’s missile attack on the hometown of Zelensky

A day after the Ukrainian President declared war on Russian soil, the Russian army launched a missile attack on a residential building in the city of Krivy Rih, the hometown of Volodymyr Zelensky.

On Monday, the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that at least four people were killed and 43 others were injured in this missile attack.

Ihor Klymenko, the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs, wrote on his Telegram channel that the Russians targeted the city with two missiles, one of which destroyed several floors of a residential building.

According to other Ukrainian officials, a 10-year-old child is among the casualties, and the second missile targeted an educational institution.

Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, condemned the Russian terrorism on his Facebook account and wrote that they attacked residential buildings, a university building, and an intersection. Unfortunately, there are casualties and injuries, and there may be people trapped under the rubble.

In mid-June, this city, which is Zelensky’s hometown, was also targeted in a Russian attack, resulting in the death of 12 people.
