Two new charges against Sohnd Noormohammadi
The chosen lawyer of Sohnd Noormohammadi announced the filing of two new charges of spreading falsehoods and disturbing public opinion in his client’s case.
According to Hamed Ahmadi, the chosen lawyer of Mr. Noormohammadi, these new charges have been raised after the release of an audio file by his client regarding torture during detention.
Sohnd Noormohammadi had previously stated that his trial lasted only 7 minutes and that he was subjected to torture and artificial execution throughout his detention and imprisonment.
Initially, Sohnd Noormohammadi was sentenced to death, but ultimately his lawyer announced on April 9th that the death sentence had been revoked, although the charge of waging war against this political prisoner remains.
