I have resigned as the host of Iran International Network and chosen human dignity.

Yesterday, Sima Sabat announced her resignation from Iran International Network in a tweet.

I have resigned from Iran International television and I announce the suspension and end of the Cheshmandaz program with Sima Sabat. I was forced to choose between working in special conditions and human dignity.

During this time, I tried to be the voice of the Iranian people, not to distance myself from conscience, and to tell the truth.

In Washington, strange and new working conditions appeared that made it practically impossible for our small team to continue working. Our efforts to solve the challenges over the past few months have remained inconclusive, as we were faced with a process that could weaken one of the most effective Persian-language programs in the long run. This is something that both I and the former chief editor of the talk shows of Iran International, Saman Rasoulpour, did not want to be a part of.
