Issuance of a judicial summons for an American ship

One day after the news of the unsuccessful attempt by the Islamic Republic to seize two oil tankers was published, the official Iranian news agency reported the issuance of a judicial summons for one of them.

IRNA news agency claimed on Friday, July 6th, that a judicial summons has been issued for the Richmond Voyager oil tanker due to its collision with an Iranian vessel.

However, the claim of the collision with an American oil tanker belongs to the Shuran company and the warning of the naval forces, while yesterday the Islamic Republic completely rejected the report of the US Fifth Fleet regarding the unsuccessful attempt to seize two oil tankers.

In continuation of its claim, the Iranian state news agency wrote, citing the country’s Ports and Maritime Organization, that the Richmond Voyager oil tanker, under the flag of the Bahamas, entered the waters of Oman and disappeared after changing its course without regard to international maritime laws and regulations, as well as the warnings of the naval forces.
