Mohammad Makhaber, the First Deputy of the President, has accepted the invitation to travel to Saudi Arabia.

The Mehr News Agency in Iran, quoting Mohammad Makhaber, the First Deputy of the President, reports that Ibrahim Raisi has accepted the invitation from King Salman to travel to Riyadh.

Mohammad Makhaber said that King Salman has invited the President, and a positive response has been given to this invitation. Hopefully, good things will happen.

He did not mention a probable date for this trip.

Officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s government said on March 19th that Salman bin Abdulaziz, the King of Saudi Arabia, has invited Ibrahim Raisi to travel to Riyadh.

However, at that time, it was reported that Saudi Arabia has not yet shown any reaction to this news, and the state media of this country has not mentioned such letters.

But a deputy of the Iranian President said that Mr. Raisi has welcomed this invitation.

Iran and Saudi Arabia agreed on March 10th to resume relations, which was achieved with the mediation of China.

At that time, it was said that the foreign ministers of the two countries will soon meet to reopen the embassies.
