Faraz Daily website wrote.

The rulings of Niloufar Hamedi and Elaheh Mohammadi, two detained journalists in the weeks following the death of Mahsa Amini, were issued in Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court. These two journalists have been sentenced to a total of 25 years in prison on three charges: collaboration with the hostile government of the United States, conspiracy to commit crimes against national security, and anti-government propaganda activities against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Houshang Pourbabaei stated that none of these charges are true regarding the behavior of these two journalists.

According to what we have defined in the Islamic Penal Code about collaboration with a hostile state, the decision on which governments we are in a state of hostility with is the responsibility of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Security Council. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs explicitly stated in letters in 2016 that the only country we are in a state of hostility with is Israel.

At the end, this lawyer mentioned the illegality of broadcasting a documentary titled ‘News Fabricator’ by the Judicial Power News Agency.

According to the law, they are not allowed to publish the documents of the accused, mentioning their names in the community, when the accused is still facing the presumption of innocence. Furthermore, according to Article 23 of the Press Law, all defendants and their lawyers must have the opportunity to react to the published documents.
