Entry of asylum seekers into Britain via the English Channel has been banned
The British government has declared the entry of asylum seekers into the country via small boats through the English Channel as illegal, according to the law. The new law was announced by the British Home Secretary today.
Suela Boreman, the British Home Secretary, says this law will prevent the entry of boats that bring tens of thousands of people to the country. She also stated that the parliament of her country will determine a legal limit on the number of asylum seekers.
According to official statistics in the year 2022, approximately 45,000 people reached Britain by crossing the English Channel. This figure was around 300 people in the year 2018.
According to the new law, the British Home Secretary is obliged to deport those who have come to this country through illegal routes from the soil of Britain.
