The presence of the United States in the Persian Gulf is effective in restraining Iran.

Pentagon spokesperson, Pat Rider, announced in a press conference on Friday, August 17th, that the military presence of the United States and its allies in the Persian Gulf has had a deterrent effect on the destructive activities of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Pentagon spokesperson added that statistically, the impact of the presence of American forces on Iran’s destructive activities is a trend that will become evident over time.

He emphasized that we believe that we currently have deterrent effects through close cooperation with our allies and partners in the region. That’s why we have deployed more forces in the region, and we will continue to monitor and observe.

The Pentagon spokesperson expressed hope that this downward trend will continue, but ultimately, it depends on Iran itself.
