The quality of the missing link in the country’s automotive industry
The Research Center of the Islamic Consultative Assembly has recently published a report on the state of the automotive industry and the reasons for the low quality of domestic cars in Iran.
In this report, titled ‘The Quality of the Missing Link in the Country’s Automotive Industry’, the majority of the low quality of domestic cars is attributed to car parts, accounting for 63% of the problems.
Assembly and design are ranked next with 26% and 11% respectively.
This report states that the current state of the quality of Iranian-made cars is such that the number of technical faults in cars during the first three months of use by customers is three times higher than the global average, with an average of 3 technical defects per car. Body and interior-related issues account for the majority of post-sales complaints, with 31%.
The research institution of the Islamic Consultative Assembly also addresses customer satisfaction with durability in its report and refers to an 18-month survey, in which customer satisfaction has decreased by approximately 95%.
