The Ukrainian Air Force claimed on Saturday that they have successfully shot down a Russian supersonic missile using the new American Patriot defense systems. This is the first time Ukraine has been able to track one of Moscow’s most modern missiles.

Mikola Olshchuk, the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, announced in a Telegram post that during the overnight attack on the Ukrainian capital earlier this week, they tracked a ballistic missile Kinzhal. This is the first time Ukraine has used the Patriot defense systems.
