IMF’s $156 Billion Financial Aid to Ukraine

Ukrainian officials and the International Monetary Fund have agreed on a $156 billion aid package from this international body to improve Ukraine’s economic situation.

According to a report published by the International Monetary Fund on its website on Tuesday, March 21st, supporting Ukrainian officials to achieve financial stability, control inflation, gradual improvement, and long-term economic growth within the framework of post-war reconstruction and the path to joining the European Union are among the goals of the aid.

The IMF’s board of directors is set to finalize this agreement in the near future.
