51% Share of Pride and Peugeot in Fatal Accidents During Nowruz

A traffic police official announced that from March 15 to April 3, over 85,000 road accidents occurred, resulting in 871 deaths.

Taimur Hosseini, deputy head of the traffic police, added that 27% of the vehicles in fatal accidents were Peugeots, 24% were Prides, 5% were foreign cars, and the rest were various other vehicles and motorcycles.

The 51% share of Pride and Peugeot in fatal accidents during Nowruz 2023 indicates that this fatality rate has remained almost unchanged over the years, as in 2017, the police had also announced that 52% of all traffic accident fatalities were occupants of Pride and Peugeot vehicles.
