75-year-old grandmother gains global fame in Fortnite
A 75-year-old Scottish grandmother has become one of the world’s renowned gamers after teaming up with one of the most famous Fortnite players.
Cat Bowe, who plays under the name Grumpygran1948, became fascinated with the game after her grandchildren introduced her to Fortnite.
She plays for 6 hours a day, and her skills and comments during gameplay caught the attention of the famous American YouTuber SypherPK.
Their first duo game had over half a million viewers.
Cat, from Moray, Scotland, says when she first told her grandchildren she wanted to livestream her games, they were stunned.
They told me I couldn’t do it, that no one would watch, and I wouldn’t have any followers. Obviously, they have nothing to say now.
