80 Countries Worldwide Call for an End to Russian Attacks on Ukraine

80 countries around the world called for an end to Russia’s attacks on Ukraine.

On Sunday, 80 different countries at a summit in Switzerland demanded that Ukraine’s territorial integrity be the basis of any peace agreement to end the country’s war with Russia.

This joint statement concluded a two-day conference at the Bürgenstock resort in Switzerland, a summit to which Russia was not invited and China withdrew its participation in protest of this issue.

Nevertheless, about 100 delegations, mostly Western and some developing countries, attended the conference. However, some developing countries scrutinized the text of the final statement carefully, and some of them refused to sign the final document.

Among the participants were India, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, countries that did not sign the final document, which focused on nuclear safety issues, food security, and prisoner exchanges.
