American Officials Send Message from Iran to America via Europe

American authorities communicated with Iran through Europe to convey a message to America.

Iran’s Axios website sent a different message through other communication channels, including contacting foreign ministers of the UK, Australia, and Germany, with its Iranian counterpart on Friday.

Iran’s message in these contacts indicates more clarity and shows that the Iranians’ goal is a limited response that will not escalate regional tensions.

Another American official stated that the United States has been in direct communication with Iran through the official Swiss channel, and Iran has not made threats through this channel.
