The Pentagon’s press secretary contacted Tehran after Israel’s attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

The Pentagon’s press secretary stated that the US contacted Tehran after Israel’s attack on Iranian diplomatic facilities in Damascus.

Sabrina Singh told reporters, ‘We have clearly informed Iran through private channels that we are not responsible for the attacks that occurred in Damascus.’

Singh added, ‘I think given the high tensions in the region, we wanted to clearly state in private channels that the US had no involvement in the attack on Damascus.’

She also said that they are not informed about the intended target of the Israeli attack on Damascus.
