The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has advised all airlines to exercise caution when crossing the airspace of Israel and Iran.
On Tuesday, April 15, EASA recommended all airlines to be cautious when crossing the airspace of Israel and Iran.
According to the agency, the precautionary directive applies to all overflying aircraft in Israeli airspace and up to 100 nautical miles around this country’s neighboring airspace.
EASA reiterated its recommendation regarding Iran, stating that the potential for computational errors or misidentification in Tehran’s airspace still exists.
As per the statement released by the European Aviation Safety Agency and the European Commission, they will continue to closely monitor the situation to assess potential safety risks for EU aircraft operators and are ready to take action if necessary.
