A member of the Transportation Commission of Tehran City Council announced that not even an electric car has been successful in obtaining a taxi license, and only a promise of electric cars entering the market has been made with no evidence or reports on the executive performance.

Ali Asghar Ghaemi this morning, in a warning before his order in the Tehran City Council meeting, by reading the text of his warning addressed to Mayor Zakhani of Tehran, said that as you are aware, urban management last year unveiled electric taxis in three stages.

He pointed out that the municipality has not yet taken any action on the post-sale services and has not introduced the automaker as the competent authority. He stated that not even an electric car has been successful in obtaining a taxi license, and the point is that the fate of government subsidies from Article 12 and the Economic Council has not been determined, only a promise of electric car entry has been made and there is still no clear evidence or reports on the executive performance of this resolution.
