8 Iranian sailors freed from Qatari prisons

Asghar Jalalian, the Deputy for Human Rights and International Affairs at the Ministry of Justice of the Islamic Republic of Iran, announced the release of 8 Iranian sailors imprisoned in Qatar. These 8 individuals entered Iran through Shiraz airport.

This is the third group of Iranian sailors who have been imprisoned in Qatar and then released this year.

Iranian sailors are mainly residents of the provinces of Bushehr, Hormozgan, and Khuzestan, who, due to storms, end up in the territorial waters of neighboring countries.
