IRIB is still not definite about hosting TV debates

The state television (Sima) has not yet finalized the host for the TV debates.

The head of Sima’s Production and Technical Center is currently preparing studios and TV sets for making election programs and debates. Speculations about the debate host continue.

Baquer Haji Seyyed Reza, the head of Sima’s Production and Technical Center, mentioned that the preparation process for election sets and studios is ongoing. The lottery ceremony and election programs will start as soon as the presidential candidates are announced, which is said to be on June 12.

Regarding the selection of the TV debate host, he added that there are options that have not been finalized yet. Whatever is being said is mostly media speculation.

For the election debates in the years 2021, 2017, and 2013, Morteza Heydari was the host, broadcasted on Channel One of Sima. However, currently, it seems unlikely that he will host the program.
