Identification of the first case of new coronavirus strain in Iran
The head of the Pasteur Institute of Iran announced the identification of a case of infection with a new strain of coronavirus known as JN1. He stated that the dominant strain of coronavirus in the world is the mutated strains called Delta, which accounts for about 60% of cases in the United States and the first case of infection with this coronavirus strain has been identified in Iran.
The head of the Pasteur Institute of Iran added that people should not have particular concerns about this coronavirus strain because its symptoms are mild and similar to a common cold.
