Iran Air CEO in Saudi Arabia did not allow the entry of Miraj Airlines to this country

The CEO of IranAir stated that Saudi Arabia did not allow the entry of Mahan Air’s aircraft into the country.

The CEO of IranAir said that Saudi Arabia did not allow Mahan Air’s aircraft to enter the country, stating that Mahan Air is affiliated with the IRGC and has been involved in the transfer of arms in Iran’s proxy wars.

Shamsaldin Farzadipour announced in a media briefing on Monday, June 30, that Saudi Arabia officially refused to accept Mahan Air for transporting pilgrims at minute 90.

According to the CEO of IranAir, Saudi Arabia did not transparently state any specific reason to Iran and only said they do not permit Mahan Air.

Farzadipour emphasized that Saudi Arabia’s decision was made while other countries do not have restrictions on conducting Hajj flights with several airlines.

According to him, Saudi Arabia’s decision has led Iran Air to bear the responsibility of transporting around 90,000 Hajj pilgrims, resulting in an average delay of 40 minutes on outbound flights and 73 minutes on return flights.
