The International Atomic Energy Agency of Iran has installed four new centrifuge cascades in Fordow.
Reuters news agency reported on Friday, citing a confidential report from the International Atomic Energy Agency, that the Islamic Republic had informed the agency on the 20th and 21st of Khordad that it would install 8 cascades, each containing 174 IR-6 centrifuges, at the Fordow facility within three to four weeks, and has now installed 4 cascades. Based on this news, the International Atomic Energy Agency announced in its latest confidential report to member countries of the organization that after a report three months ago, the director general now confirms that Iran has installed 4 out of 8 IR-6 cascades at the Fordow unit and the uranium enrichment plant.
Tehran’s new action comes after the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency approved a draft resolution proposed by Britain, France, and Germany, known as the E3, regarding the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program with 20 in favor, 12 abstentions, and 2 against.
The resolution called on the Islamic Republic of Iran to improve cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency and to cancel the ban on the entry of experienced agency inspectors.
