Iran’s Minister of Oil stated that 300 million cubic meters of gas are transferred daily from Russia to Iran.
Iran’s Minister of Oil referred to the signing of the agreement between Russia and the Islamic Republic for gas transfer to Iran as the pinnacle of the diplomacy of the thirteenth government.
Javad Owji, on Thursday, July 27, at the government meeting chaired by Mohammad Bagher Nobakht, the acting president, stated that based on this agreement, 300 million cubic meters of gas will be transferred from Russia to Iran through the Caspian Sea, and the cost of creating the necessary infrastructure for this transfer will be borne by Russia.
Owji added that this agreement is an economic and industrial revolution that will result in the region’s and neighboring countries’ energy security dependence on Iran.
He called the construction of the gas transit pipeline from north to south through Iran an unprecedented event and claimed that it will have annual financial transactions of $10 to $12 billion.
According to him, the total production of sweet gas from the country’s 23 refineries is around 850 million cubic meters per day.
