Iran, Russia, and China jointly called for the revival of the nuclear agreement known as the JCPOA.
The countries of Iran, Russia, and China have expressed their support for the revival of the nuclear agreement known as the JCPOA in a joint statement.
This statement was issued concurrently with the convening of the IAEA Board of Governors’ quarterly meeting, where the Iranian nuclear dossier was one of the main topics.
The Russian state news agency has reported that China, Iran, and Russia stated in this joint statement that it is time for Western countries to show political will to halt the escalating cycle of tension that has been ongoing for almost two years and take necessary actions to revive the JCPOA.
The joint statement mentions that reviving the JCPOA is still feasible and that resuming this nuclear agreement could resolve most of the remaining issues related to Iran’s nuclear program, particularly by providing extensive monitoring tools to the inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
