Iran and Pakistan have asked the UN Security Council to take action to stop Israel’s illegal actions.

Tehran and Islamabad, in a joint statement released on the occasion of the end of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s three-day visit to Pakistan, requested the UN Security Council to intervene to halt Israel’s illegal actions.

Reuters reported that the two countries emphasized in their request to the Security Council that Israel has illegally targeted neighboring countries and foreign diplomatic facilities.

According to Reuters, Ebrahim Raisi’s visit to Pakistan and the release of this joint statement coincided with heightened tensions in the Middle East.
