Iranian national volleyball team defeated America

Iran’s national volleyball team emerged victorious against the United States.

Iran’s national volleyball team succeeded in securing their first win in the third week of the Nations League. After suffering 8 consecutive losses in the first two weeks, the Iranian players began the third week with a 3-2 victory over the United States.

The match took place in the Philippines, and under the shining performance of Pouria Hossein Zadeh, who scored 23 points, Peyman Akbari’s students managed to surpass their powerful rival. Iran’s captain, Milad Ebadipour, also earned 20 points.

USA’s star player, Tori Defalco, scored 33 points and was the most successful player on the court, but his efforts were not enough to prevent his team’s defeat.

With their first win secured, Iran will face the Netherlands in the next step. France and Germany will be Iran’s next opponents in the final week of the Nations League.
