The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran says the number of nuclear power plants in Iran is increasing.

The head of the Atomic Energy Organization stated that Iran, in line with other countries around the world, is taking fundamental steps to increase the number of nuclear power plants and electricity production capacity.

Referring to the 11% share of nuclear electricity production in nuclear power plants worldwide, he mentioned that during the 28th World Climate Change Conference, it was decided that by 2050, the global nuclear energy capacity for electricity production would triple.
