The Israeli ambassador said, ‘We are always ready for confrontation with Iran.’
The Israeli ambassador in Moscow claimed after Israel’s missile attack on the Iranian consulate building in Damascus, the capital of Syria, that the attack was not on the consulate but on a nearby building.
According to TASS news agency, Simona Halperin stated in a press conference in Moscow on Thursday that Israel cannot comment on the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
She also assured that the Israeli airstrike did not hit the Iranian consulate in Syria but a building nearby.
In response to a question about the threat of retaliatory actions that could impact Israeli diplomatic missions worldwide, she said that the threat to Israeli diplomatic missions has always existed and continues to exist.
Halperin, when asked if Israel allows direct military engagement with Iran and is prepared for it, said, ‘Israel is always ready.’
