Masoud Pezeshkian in Mashhad addresses the issue of harsh treatment towards girls.
Masoud Pezeshkian, among his supporters in the Beheshti Hall in Mashhad, said, ‘We must join hands for every problem and not allow any group to do whatever they want.’
Pezeshkian reminded in debates, ‘Mr. Aghaei said, ‘I won’t let you become the president.’ I said at that time, ‘People know and judge who can become and who cannot. You must participate in these elections to determine your share. Those who don’t vote should know if you don’t want them to be there, come to the ballot box. We must have our share. Iran belongs to Iranians.’
He added, ‘Freedom of religions, beliefs, and all humans is independence, freedom, and the Islamic Republic. But we sacrificed freedom. We kick out and suspend anyone who speaks out in universities. If I come to power, I won’t let anyone be expelled for their beliefs. No one should respond to any teacher with a baton.’
Masoud Pezeshkian continued, ‘We are not superior to our daughters and women to treat them improperly on the streets. We have no right to treat them harshly. We will address these issues.’
