The Intelligence Organization of Isfahan Law Enforcement Command announced that the individuals involved in assaulting the enforcer of moral values have been arrested.
Following the release of a video showing a confrontation between several individuals and an enforcer of moral values in Naqsh-e Jahan Square in Isfahan, the Intelligence Organization of the law enforcement command of this province reported the arrest of all individuals involved in this incident.
According to the Isfahan Intelligence Organization, the individuals mentioned in media reports published in Iran on Monday, 12 Farvardin, were arrested in less than 36 hours. Additionally, considering the presence of some members of guild units during the assault, they were also arrested, and their relevant guild units were sealed.
Earlier, the Chief Justice of Isfahan had announced the involvement of four individuals in the assault on an enforcer of moral values and stated that a legal case had been formed in this regard.
These individuals were detained afterward and are under investigation. A video was circulated on social media in the past days showing a scuffle with an unidentified person in Naqsh-e Jahan Square in Isfahan.
Detailed information about the reason for this confrontation has not been released yet, but in the circulated video, the individuals present are seen objecting to filming a person identified as an enforcer of moral values.
Government officials and media in Iran refer to individuals who advise women in public places to observe the hijab or film them as enforcers of virtue and preventers of vice.
