Peddling in the metro with a daily salary of one million Tomans.
According to Jom-e-Jam newspaper, peddlers in Tehran’s metro are employed with daily salaries ranging from 500 thousand to one million Tomans.
Many advertisements titled ‘Hiring Peddlers in Tehran Metro’ can be seen on various websites. Previous work experience is not very important for advertisers, and many of them offer daily wages, while some also provide commission-based pay.
Some ads mention that if you sell well, you can earn up to two million Tomans a day. Others state a monthly income of 87 million Tomans.
The Tehran Municipality has repeatedly discussed organizing peddlers and has presented various plans, all of which have so far faced failure.
