Persepolis stripped Alireza Beiranvand of his weapons.
Persepolis acted upon a commitment it had towards the national team goalkeeper to prevent him from transferring to another club after the hot transfer market of last season.
With the help of a bank consortium that owns a significant portion of the club’s shares, Persepolis paid the full amount of Alireza Beiranvand’s contract from last season.
If the national team goalkeeper did not receive his dues by the end of June, he could terminate his contract. Therefore, Persepolis’ CEO, Reza Dorvish, decided to pay him to prevent any potential new controversies from Beiranvand in the summer transfers and secure his right to terminate the contract.
Beiranvand, like other team players, who had received 76% of his contract amount, has now received the full amount and is waiting to receive the championship bonus with the team in the twenty-third league.
