Poisoning closed schools in Qom

The Public Relations Department of the Qom Education and Training Office will investigate the reasons for the poisoning in Qom schools and, at the request of the students’ parents, all educational units under the supervision of this department will operate virtually tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday.

Since this morning, Monday, 61 students with respiratory poisoning symptoms from a total of 8 Qom schools have been transferred to medical centers by emergency services.

Most of the affected students were reported to have a general condition of anxiety and stress.

Symptoms of carbon monoxide gas were observed in schools, but we cannot be certain that all poisonings are caused by carbon monoxide gas. The tests are ongoing.
