Sadaf Asgari, an Iranian actress, was prevented from participating in a film and being a judge at a film festival in Turkey.
Sadaf Asgari, a cinema actress, says that the security institutions of the Islamic Republic confiscated her passport, preventing her from participating in an international film project in Turkey and attending other festivals in the country as a judge.
Ms. Asgari wrote on her Instagram page on Friday, December 1st, that upon returning from the Cannes Film Festival this year, her personal belongings and passport were confiscated by security institutions.
She added, ‘I didn’t say a word, but being a judge at this age was not something I could easily overlook.’
