Secretary-General of the Stability Front Demands Coalition of Fundamentalist Candidates

The Secretary-General of the Stability Front has demanded the coalition of fundamentalist candidates.

Sadeq Mahsouli, the Secretary-General of the Stability Front, has called for the coalition of fundamentalist candidates and their withdrawal in favor of each other.

Mr. Mahsouli, one of the candidates, asked the revolutionaries to focus on safeguarding the genuine revolutionary movement against the backward Western-oriented rivals through consensus and to strongly avoid potential disruptions and internal rivalries.

He told Fars News Agency that the country is currently in very special circumstances and may face a regression and return to Western-influenced ideologies, which have generally belittled the national will and the great capabilities of the Iranian people by reducing them to merely cooking lamb stew.

It appears that Mr. Mahsouli’s reference is to the remarks of Akbar Turkaneh, one of Hassan Rouhani’s advisers in his government, who had said, ‘Let us be honest with ourselves; except for cooking lamb stew and vegetable stew, we have no superiority over the world in any industrial technology.’
