Sistan and Baluchestan still under flood siege

With continued rainfall in Sistan and Baluchestan, 11 counties of this province are still under flood and waterlogging, 22 routes in this province are closed, and in the absence of facilities, 13 pregnant women have been relocated by boat.

Babak Mahmoudi, the head of the Red Crescent organization, announced on Friday, 11th of Esfand, that 11 counties in Sistan and Baluchestan province are under flood and waterlogging siege.

Mr. Mahmoudi mentioned Kash, Sib and Suran, Fanouj, Iranshahr, Mirjaveh, Nikshahr, Delgan, Chabahar, Saravan, Zahedan, Nimruz, Sarbaz, Konarak, and Mehrestan as the counties in need of emergency services.

According to the head of the Red Crescent organization, most of the floods have occurred in the north of Chabahar, leading to widespread waterlogging.

Majid Mohabbi, the general manager of the Crisis Management Office of the Provincial Governorate, also reported on Friday that 22 main, secondary, and rural routes in the south of Sistan and Baluchestan are closed.
