The Syrian army announced that in an Israeli airstrike on areas in Aleppo, several soldiers and civilians were killed.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a group opposed to the Bashar al-Assad government monitoring Syrian developments from Britain, stated that in the early morning attack on Friday, 10 soldiers were killed and dozens were injured in Aleppo by Israel.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights report, which has been published by various news agencies including the Associated Press, is not independently confirmed.

This organization, which is opposed to the Bashar al-Assad government and operates in Britain, says that in the early Friday attack, weapons depots in the southern outskirts of Aleppo in Jibrin near Aleppo International Airport were targeted.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights added that two hours after the attack, sounds of explosions were still heard.
