A spokesperson for the electricity industry warned high-consumption consumers, stating that if the consumption pattern is not followed in the summer, they should expect million-dollar bills.
He further stated that this group should be vigilant because if they do not reconsider their consumption habits, they will definitely face million-dollar bills in the summer. This is because according to Article 6 of the Law on Preventing the Obstruction of Electricity Industry Development, allocating subsidies to consumption above the pattern is prohibited, and the electricity tariff for household consumers with consumption higher than the approved pattern is calculated and collected at a rate of 5 times the cost for consumption exceeding 15 times the pattern, 15 times for consumption exceeding 25 times the pattern, and 25 times for consumption exceeding 25 times the pattern.
